I love Rollercoasters and Waterslides, I don't always ride them, (I have slight motion sickness.) but I love them! I just got Weird NJ Volume 2 for Christmas, and I am really interested in visiting Where the park was. But since it was sold, and renovated in 2000, I don't know if a new park is there, or was completely leveled to the ground, either way, I don't think I will be seeing much since most of the rides were death traps and were torn down. But I am really interested in the old park, and would greatly appreciate pictures, websites, and stories of your own, if you will, the following story happened before I was born:
My uncle, Grandmother, parents, brother, and sister went to my other uncle's cabin in the mountains of upstate NY, and on the way home they stopped by Action Park. It was a cloudy day, but they went in the park anyway. They found seats by the pool where you jump from a cliff into 40 feet of water, and my uncle, who had dentures at the time, decided to dive.........he lost his dentures that day. It started to storm, they left before getting on any rides. Knowing my brother and sister, they would go on every ride there, even the Cannonball Loop, risk of death or not, and they would mess around, and get hurt on purpose. So for the rest of the day, they stayed in the camper and cooked pizza.
