I don't know if anyone will remember this or has ever seen this guy (if you haven't you're lucky lol) but when I was younger, I would go to
Willie's Diner in Bloomfield with my dad a lot for lunch and there was a man who would ALWAYS be there when we were there dressed up like one of the
members of the Broadway show Cats. Full make up, costume, the works. He would sit at the last table in the back on
the right and was just extremely odd. One day he got up to leave and I noticed he was going to walk right past our table and my big mouth father who always
thinks it's funny to throw me into situations that scare me, decided to compliment his outfit and that was all it took. The guy sat down with us (next to
me of course) and started to have a convo and try to get me to laugh which was impossible because I was scared to death. I haven't been to Willie's in
years (is it even still there?) so I have no idea if this man's still around, but when I was about 12 or 13 one of my art teachers and I were talking and
she knew the cats man and told me that he lives in Bloomfield and actually goes around town in that getup and marches in local parades, etc. She also
mentioned that he was a member of the Cats cast at one time and wanted everyone to know which is why he wore the
outfit all the time. I guess he just never got over leaving. Does anyone else remember this nut? lol
