Just wondering if anybody knows about this underground chamber in the woods of denville. The entrance to the bunker is from the top, its a nice round hole lined with brick, looks almost like a well. Years ago there was a metal lid covering it. Anyway, the chamber is about 5 feet tall, and maybe 8 foot by 8 foot. The walls and roof of the bunker are all rock and cement. One wall is made entirely of brick and there is a little fireplace at the bottom. You can see daylight from the fireplace, as there is a hole in the ground for a chimney. This was not a former basement or anything, it was obviously made as some kind of shelter, but its very old. Sadly, some jerk dumped roofing shingles inside, but they could be shoveled out if neccesary. Nearby the bunker, there is a very old well, but it has been filled up with large boulders. If anybody has any idea what this bunker is (revolutionary war?), let me know. Yes, I have plenty of pictures and a video I can post tommorrow.
