I too have been looking for this road and have come across many different accounts on where its located. The original name of the Road is called De Russy's Lane and can be found in the New York Times (I believe, I am not sure of the newspaper article I saw this in) November 1, 1922. Unfortunately, I can not find any map of this time to compare to a current map of this location to find out exactly the road it is.

Through my investigation I have found the following conflicts:
Some places say that the road is now called (edited by administrator), Franklin NJ
Some places say its off of (edited by administrator), Hillsborough NJ

After mapquesting the two it seems they are 19 minutes from each other but I am unsure where exactly it is. If it is off (edited by administrator), I have been down there and its scary after dark, however I did spot a few police cars patroling the area so be careful of fooling around as they probably wont take lightly to joy riders.

If it is by (edited by administrator) (off of (edited by administrator)) I have been to the area and can say there is a very eerie feeling about the area.

Any additional info would be greatly appreciated.

PS - if you get here via (edited by administrator), be careful, there is a NASTY hairpin turn on your way to (edited by administrator), at this turn a police officer was sitting waiting with his headlights off until I was right on top of him.

Again I am sorry for posting things that I shouldn't have and will be more cautious of what I post in the future. Also, thanks for being so kind about just removing what I wrote rather than booting me, I look forward to being apart of this community.

Sounds like an interesting story. Patrolled by what? Dogs? Police? you have peaked my curiousity into this estate and its high security system.

Thats interesting, I will not be visiting that estate any time soon but may have to take a day trip and check out the area during light hours. In the dark it was hard to see anything.
