Blazing along the roads of Hamilton NJ one may encounter a demonic hellride that looks like it rolled right off the set of the 60`s T.V. show the Muensters.
Enter one Bob Martell,...designer/builder of the custom rat-rod,...and team him up with Russel Shipe, who along with his wife Tina and thier daughter helped to put the finishing touches on this one of a kind monstrous motorized marvel.
Built from junkyard parts and stuff found in the public domain of New Jerseys roadside...

Ravaged by time, the elements, and a faltering economy, not to mention the inevitable need for more condos....
we witness the demise of PENNYTOWN Village.
Once a quaint assembly of shops, offices, restaurants, and motels, the village had seen better days,...and in the end quite a few wild nights.
What appeared to have been a clean, well kept, unique complex of family fun...

Motoring along at a nice productive clip on rt. 295 north minding my own business as usual,.....
I took a casual glance into my side mirror and saw a BLOOD-RED BEHEMOTH hurtling towards me at breakneck speed.
Quite an unusual vehicle,...it took me a few seconds to realize just what it was,...it was the DOMINATOR,..an SRV.( meteorologist jargon for storm research vehicle)

At watersedge of the mighty Delaware river in Trenton N.J. sits a quiet neighborhood called the Island section.
As of late that quiet has been replaced by an eerie uneasiness,...or dare I say it a stonecold fear,...for a MONSTER has come to call.
Helicopters whirring above,...NJ state and local agencies clammering to the scene,..
Fire and EMS, local and interstate media coverage,...Dept. of health, you name it. They were all there...

A cool crisp picturesque day in our states fine capitol city of Trenton,yet something is in the air,something unsettling and imminent.

In the town of Long Branch NJ inside the town hall stands a very crowded collection of tiny United States presidents in a tight shiny glass display box.
As you enter the lobby you can`t miss the assembly of miniature statues that silently glare through as you walk past.
If you stand there looking at them long enough it gets kind of creepy as thier gaze appears to follow you in the reflections of the glass enclosure.
Some of them just have that creepy look,.....a look some...

The Tiny Medical Midgets Of RWJ Hospital

As one travels through the New Brunswick area these tiny medical marvels can be seen high above on a steel beam.
They are solid steel and have been there for about 10 years or so....
And if my memory serves me correctly,they were made by Seward Johnson the famous sculptor.
Passing by the other day I decided to share some snapshots with all my WNJ pals...

I drove down the infamous Linvale road recently.
To my amazement I found a vintage phone booth complete with twinkle lights,....
... right on the front lawn of someones house

I`ve seen several of these around my area and seem to come across more each time I venture out into the weird...these Black Gas Stations.

Once bustling with customers in choice locations,..they have literally gone dark.
With gas about to be $4 a gallon....why would they just go belly up?

Long ago confiscated from a NJ revenue dodging Hillbilly,
...this authentic moonshine still sits on display in the NJ State Police museum.
Although it is shown in a non operational showcase mode only,
....it reminds us all of the times when making your own corn liquor was every Jersians god given right.
Then of course came those wacky 18th and 29th amendments to the bill of rights.
And soon there after,..a nifty police force to make sure they were adhered to.

I saw these two cars out in the Bordentown NJ area and decided to take `em for a spin right here on the WNJ board.
The luxury model sure looks like it could do some damage looking for parking spots at the local mall.
The little clown sized car has wheels not much larger than a dinner plate.
Deathtrap takes on a whole new meaning when you see just how small and flimsy that tiny orange car is....

NJ can proudly claim the worlds ugliest dog, Elwood, of Sewell NJ as one of its most famous residents.
Recently in a world championship dog event, Elwood was crowned "The worlds ugliest dog".
When I set out to finally meet and interview Elwood and his caretaker at a library sponsored book signing event, it was purely on the notion that Elwood was the "worlds ugliest dog". It sounded simple enough at the time but 2 things quickly became apparent upon my arrival....
