Hi I recently read all the stories about Saras woods and decided to go for a drive with 3 friends on Friday october 30th around 11:30. We were not exactly sure where to go but we turned into the industrial park and were driving around. We turned onto a small road that had a small building on the left. I wasn't sure where we were so we pulled up and I got out with my iphone to look online and see if there was a location listed anywhere. When I got out I seen a big weird looking structure...

I was driving by the old Chateau Grande in Lakewood the other day with my sister and we began to debate what it used to be called. She was arguing with me saying "It was always "the castle", what are you talking about?" I was having a brain fart and could not remmember its old name -just that it started with a W. My friend Sam and I had rented the movie The Blair Witch Project. We had watched it and found it a little creepy. I had slept over her house and heard creepy noises. The next morning Sam wanted to show me a little island by her house. She has a small pond by her house which has a tiny island with in it. You have to cross a plank to get over to it. Swamp House

Nestled behind the waters of a lively swamp, masked by tall grasses and curvy trees, sits a lonely house. The many sounds of the active marsh outside, in a way seem to taunt the empty and depressed abode. As I walked through the desolate rooms, I felt a sense of loneliness, like something was missing. The house seemed to silently scream out for attention, its hollow decay-less rooms, just aching for life.

In the main living room, a shapely staircase resides, its feminine curves...

Strange Funeral traditions

Growing up in NJ with a father who grew up in South Carolina I was always implanted with southern traditions..the worst of these was the odd tradition he had with funerals

He would always take a camera to funerals and photograph the deceased..which always disturbed me...

Well over the summer my Southern grandmother past away and sure enough soon after a package of photos showed up in the mail..photos of granny in her coffin..no less

but worst yet they have...

Haunted Homes of Beachwood - 2009

New photo collage up on the BHA site depicting a bunch of the Halloween decorated homes around Beachwood (Ocean County). Chose to focus on the newer side of town this time around since they usually don't receive enough love (us being a historical entity, it's a little harder to get people excited about mansion-sized colonials built in 1995). These and nearly everything else on the site are private residences/properties, all legal trespassing rules apply.

does anybody know of any good places to check out near Toms River? i tried gravity hill in jackson, i went to talamini road in bridgewater and went to the chester railroad tracks in chester. does anyone know of closer places? im tryin to go places maybe an hour away the most, maybe a little more if theyre good

me and my friends are really interested in the weird nj stuff, so my 3 friends and myself decided to go to Talamini Road, which was just a normal dark road to our dissapointment. we went to the tracks of chester right off of four bridges road and walked down the tracks with flashlights and went down some ways, but nothing at all again. we then went to gravity hill in jackson, as im from toms river and it's close, but that didnt work either for me, but my brother said it worked for him, so...
